Digitalization is a global race in which only the fast and adaptable can win. DIGITALEUROPE wants to help decision-makers understand the opportunities provided by digitalization and has therefore established a new senior management council to promote and increase understanding of the subject. Esa Tihilä, CEO of Basware, has been appointed as Finland's representative in the council.
Digitalization is transforming the world at an accelerating pace, but it is not an easy change. Decision-makers in the EU are under enormous pressure as new digital players are taking over the market and shaking up the structures. Maximizing the full potential of digitalization will give Europe new business, growth and savings, but reaching these targets requires letting go of the old ways of doing things.
DIGITALEUROPE wants to help decision-makers to understand the opportunities provided by digitalization and has therefore established a new senior management council to promote and increase understanding of the subject. The members of the council will meet decision-makers from the EU Commission and Parliament and convey the most important messages and growth stories for business success to facilitate accelerating the inevitable change.

With digitalization, fast forerunners that take steps to adapt can significantly enhance their processes and operating methods,” says Esa Tihilä, Finland's representative member in the council and CEO of Basware.
