Checkmylevel uses low voltage currents to monitor recovery status in your muscles and enable users to understand their fatigue levels and how to optimise their training. Previously only available for professional athletes and coaches, Checkymylevel is now on offer to fitness and sport enthusiasts to pre-order from Indiegogo.
Launching its crowdfunding campaign globally is Checkmylevel, the handheld fatigue monitor that assesses whether a person has recovered from training and when their body is ready for their next session. Checkmylevel has been built from the ground up to support fitness enthusiasts and help them better understand recovery times and how best to optimise their training.
The Helsinki-based company is looking to raise $80,000 for the development of Checkmylevel’s API, allowing data about fatigue and recovery with third party services. Once raised, the first of these will be Beddit, the best sleep monitoring system in the market. Using data from both, Checkmylevel can offer users guidance on whether they should train or not. The more third party services added the more sophisticated Checkmylevel becomes.
Investment perks range from $15 up to $2,990, catering for individuals and teams.
Checkmylevel aims to influence training through efficiency, letting users know when the best time to train is rather than giving them simple insights on what their output is there and then. Checkmylevel assess the state of the peripheral nervous system, which is directly linked to reaction times.
Assessing fatigue levels using Checkmylevel couldn’t be simpler. Once an electrode has been inserted into the device and applied to the inner arm, assessments begin in sync with Checkmylevel apps for iOS and Android. Using their smartphone, users input how they’re feeling and Checkmylevel uses this data and its measurements to provide a recommendation on fatigue and training.
The key features of Checkmylevel include:
“Checkmylevel provides an accurate and in depth analysis of the bodies fatigue level, helping to prevent overtraining and lower the risk of injury,” said Ville Simola, VP, Checkmylevel. “We want to go one step further though as we believe it’s no longer enough to just give people recommendations based on one set of data. Our planned API and integration with other services that monitor our lifestyles will take every facet of our lives into account. This is totally unique.”
“It is time to change the way we monitor our body. In many sports, heart-rate -based assessments are too unreliable or don’t work. With Checkmylevel, we bring an easy and convenient way to assess your recovery available for everyday use. No more exhaustion, no more injuries, “ continued Simola.
Checkmylevel has been developed in close cooperation with professional athletes and leading sports scientists, providing critical information needed to make them excel at the very top.
